Command Prompt Here…

Well, that’s what the Shell Extension used to be called, to Right Click on a Windows Explorer Folder to Open a Command Prompt and jump to the folder. This has saved me a ton of time when I had to quickly move from Windows Explorer to command prompt.

There is now a shortcut within Windows Explorer to accomplish the same. Navigate to the folder in Windows Explorer. Move the focus to the address bar (Shortcut : ALT + D) and type cmd . (read as cmd dot).

To open Windows Explorer from the command prompt, use “Explorer .” without the quotes and there you have it !!!
